Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what personal data ZoroTones ("we", "us") collects when you use zorotones.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email zorotones@gmail.com.

1. Data we collect

When you just browse and download - you do not need an account. To count downloads fairly, we set a cookie with a random visitor ID and store only a scrambled (hashed) version of it, never your IP address, together with the ringtone, the date and hour, the format (MP3 or M4R), your device type (for example Android or iPhone), how you reached the page (for example search or a category), and your country when our hosting provider supplies it. Like every website, our hosting servers may also keep standard technical logs, such as IP address and browser type, for security and troubleshooting.

When you sign in with Google - we receive your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID. We do not receive your Google password.

When you use account features - we store the ringtones you upload with their titles, tags and category, your favourites, likes, comments, GIFs you add to comments, and reports you send.

Creator programs - if you apply for monetization or verification, we keep your application, its status, the terms version you accepted and when, and your upload and download totals at the time. To pay you, we may ask for payout details such as a UPI ID and the identity and tax details required by Indian law.

2. How we use your data

To run the Service: sign you in, save your favourites, publish your uploads and comments.
To show creators statistics about their ringtones and to calculate creator earnings.
To detect and stop spam, fake downloads and abuse.
To keep the Service secure and fix problems.
To show advertising that keeps the Service free.
To reply when you contact us, and to meet legal obligations.

3. What other people can see

Your display name, the ringtones you upload and your comments are public. Your email address is never shown publicly.

4. Cookies and advertising

We use a small number of cookies, explained in our Cookie Policy. Third-party advertising partners, such as Google, may use cookies to show and measure ads, and may personalise ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can manage personalised ads from Google at My Ad Center (myadcenter.google.com).

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the Service (such as hosting, Google Sign-In and advertising partners), with payment providers when paying creators, and with authorities when the law requires it.

6. How long we keep data

We keep account data while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove your personal data as described in our Data Deletion Policy. Download statistics are kept in a form that does not identify you. Records we must keep by law, such as payment and tax records, are kept for the period the law requires.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to withdraw your consent, by emailing zorotones@gmail.com. We will respond in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable laws.

8. Children

Accounts are for users aged 13 and over. Users under 18 should use the Service with the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal data without that consent, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including secure connections. No website can be completely secure, so please keep your Google account safe.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version.
